Being a volunteer at Annapoorna has been a very humbling as well as inspiring experience for me. Working at the grassroots level of our society, knowing that what we do is making a difference to many lives is a very gratifying feeling.
The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Forming close to 60% of the population, it is the youth of India who have the ideas, energy, and passion for a better India, and they need to realize their potential.
Volunteering has changed my life for the better! This work has even helped my family bond better. My children now look forward to participate in the breakfast programme on weekends, and are happier and full of gratitude.
This work has given me a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of these children. The shy but friendly smiles and little hands delicately eating the meal has made the entire experience completely joyful and one that I look forward to every week.
Personally, it is very gratifying to watch these kids slowly transform like butterflies. I and my kids feel truly blessed to be working with this Annapoorna family. My faith and conviction grew beyond bounds with this experience and I’m inspired to start working for the Annapoorna project.
The morning nutrition is in the form of “SaiSure” nutrition supplement added to the milk, presented to the child every morning, after school prayer at the school premises.
