Global Child Nutrition Forum (GCNF) Conclave in Japan – A Step Toward a Healthier World ,Dec 2024

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, represented by Mr. Ashish Bhardwaj, National Manager for CSR Operations, had the immense pleasure of participating in the Global Child Nutrition Forum (GCNG Conclave) held in Osaka, Japan, from December 9 to 12, 2024.

This prestigious event brought together Ministries, Foundations, and Corporate organizations across the globe to address child nutrition challenges.

The conclave provided a platform for the Annapoorna Trust to showcase the flagship initiative of providing the fortified health mix for school children, a cornerstone of its Morning Nutrition Program. This initiative has significantly impacted 1 Crore+ children in India, addressing malnutrition and fostering better learning outcomes.

Mr. Ashish had the opportunity to engage with dignitaries, including ministers and education heads from countries such as Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Kenya, Nigeria, Malawi etc. It was truly gratifying to see these decision-makers show a strong interest in adopting the morning nutrition program in their regions, with many committing to support its implementation through partnerships and necessary approvals.

The forum also facilitated learning from global best practices and innovative approaches to school meal programs. Engaging with foundations like CIFF, WFP, Rockefeller Foundation, GAIN, etc. provided Annapoorna Trust with valuable insights and potential collaborative opportunities.

As aptly stated by leaders like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Nelson Mandela, “Children of today are the leaders of tomorrow.” Annapoorna Trust remains committed to combating malnutrition and envisions expanding its impact globally.

The GCNG Conclave marked a pivotal step in this journey and the power of collaboration to create a malnourished-free world.
