Theme: Bridging Inner Transformation with Entrepreneurial Impact
The TiE Antar Prerana Leadership Summit 2024, part of the broader TiE Global Summit program, was a transformative platform that aimed at empowering entrepreneurs. It aimed at blending ancient wisdom with modern practices.
This year’s summit focused on cultivating inner strength and purposeful action which are key attributes for navigating the entrepreneurial journey.
The day commenced with an inspiring welcome address by Mr. Madan Padaki, Founder & CEO of 1BRIDGE, who set the tone for the event. This was followed by an insightful session by Shri Raghavendra Pai, highlighting the principles of Antar Prerana Yoga.
A key highlight of the summit was the inspiring address by our beloved Founder and Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. His visionary leadership in the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission has touched lives across 60 countries through transformative initiatives in education, healthcare, and nutrition. Notable projects such as the Shri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centres and the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences continue to uplift millions globally.
It was a moment of immense pride to see our revered Sadguru on stage at the event. His invitation to address the TiE platform reflected the far-reaching impact of his Global Humanitarian Mission, built on the pillars of Nutrition, Education, and Health.
The event also held special significance for Mr. Vivek Kumar, CSR & Government Alliances Head at the Annapoorna Trust and a Chartered Member of the Bangalore TiE Chapter, who had the privilege of introducing Sadguru to the audience.
A video showcasing the mission’s extraordinary work captivated the audience, who responded with heartfelt applause, deeply moved by the magnitude of its impact. Following this, a thought-provoking conversation took place between Sadguru and Mr. Prashanth Prakash, the founding partner of Accel Ventures and co-founder of the Unboxing Bangalore Foundation.
The dialogue was a journey of discovery, exploring the intersection of business and spirituality.
Sadguru commenced the conversation by addressing the question, “How does one start the entrepreneurial journey?”
He drew inspiration from Mark Twain’s words: “The two most important days in your life are the day you’re born and the day you know why.” Entrepreneurship, Sadguru explained, is about finding that “why”—the purpose for which one is born—and turning it into value for others, far beyond mere valuation.
He likened this journey to Arjuna’s from the Mahabharata, where clarity of purpose was crucial. Just as Krishna guided Arjuna, Sadguru emphasized the importance of mentors or Gurus who help in navigating doubts and aligning one’s Swadharma, or inner calling, with meaningful action.
When challenges arise, as they did during the COVID-19 pandemic, they should be viewed as opportunities to pause, realign, and refocus on one’s goals. Sadguru shared how the mission faced funding hurdles during the crisis, yet during these times of adversity, the team’s purpose became even stronger. Resilience, gratitude, and a team aligned by a shared vision became the driving forces.
As the conversation came to a close, Sadguru left the audience with a profound message: Entrepreneurship is not merely a business venture; it is a journey of inner strength and a commitment to making a lasting difference in the world.
It is about staying true to oneself and creating impact, one step at a time.
The session concluded on a high note, with a thunderous round of applause that echoed across the hall, leaving the audience inspired and motivated. Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai’s profound insights on aligning purpose with action resonated deeply, sparking a wave of inspiration among the entrepreneurs present.
A special mention goes to the distinguished leaders who made this event memorable, including Mr. Amit Gupta, Chair of the TiE Global Board; Mr. Madan Padaki, President of TiE Bangalore and Trustee of TiE Global; Mr. Prashanth Prakash, Founding Partner of Accel India; and Mr. Vivek Kumar, CSR & Government Alliances Head at the Annapoorna Trust and Charter Member of TiE Bangalore.
