24th ICSI National Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance, 20 Dec 2024

A Night Honoring Ethical Governance and Leadership

The 24th ICSI National Awards for Excellence in Corporate Governance, held on December 20, 2024, in Bengaluru, was a celebration of values, integrity, and ethical leadership. This prestigious event was graced by Shri Basavaraj Bommai, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka, and our founder and chairman of Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, whose presence infused the evening with profound wisdom and spiritual significance.

The awards ceremony was held to recognize exemplary individuals and organizations that embody the principles of transparency, accountability, and societal service. These leaders have set new standards in corporate governance, showing that real success comes from acting with honesty and making a positive difference in society.

Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai: A Divine Call to Compassionate Governance

Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai’s presence at the event was nothing short of transformative, inspiring the gathering with a profound sense of spiritual significance. As a tireless humanitarian, his mission spans across healthcare, education, and health, which is a core focus towards uplifting humanity.

In his address, Sadguru delved into the concept of dharma. In our country, the idea of Dharma is supreme. Truth when it is acted upon becomes Dharma. Dharma when it is spoken becomes Truth. Whatever we are born to do is our Swadharma – i.e. the purpose & goal in life. To do that is our ultimate duty. Fulfilling this purpose, he explained, is the ultimate duty, and in doing so, one not only realizes their own potential but also contributes to the well-being of others. Through this selfless service, individuals are called to make a positive impact on the world. Also, follow the right people in society when in doubt.

“The link between dāna and sukha is dharma, and your dharma is to make sure that all the money that is being earned for India is done in a righteous way, so that it is utilised for the greater good of society.”

These words served not just as a message but as a divine invocation to embrace governance as a path of transformation and upliftment.

In a world often focused on material gains, this event reminded everyone that true success is found in the values and principles that uplift humanity. The 24th ICSI Awards highlighted governance as a noble responsibility, encouraging all to work towards a future grounded in integrity, service, and compassion.
