KPMG is a multinational professional services network, and one of the Big Four accounting organizations in the world. KPMG associated with Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust for its first CSR event in November 2018. The employees of KPMG joined hands to visit a Bangalore based government school in Banaswadi wherein Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust serves breakfast to the students.
CSR EVENT: VISIT TO GOVERNMENT KANNADA HIGHER PRIMARY SCHOOL DODDA BANASWADI
A total of 25 KPMG volunteers visited and served Saisure, Annapoorna’s Multinutrient breakfast mix and fruits to the school students of Banaswadi Government School. The employees conducted programs like quiz, drawing, painting competitions and few team building activities with the children. Besides these, the employees distributed elementary education material like notebooks, pencils, eraser, sharper, exam boards etc to the children. The event ended with prize distribution to the winners.
CSR EVENT: “SPONSOR A PLATE” DRIVE ON MARCH 8, 2019 IN VATADAHOSAHALLI GOVERNMENT SCHOOL IN GAURIBIDANUR TALUK
Niharika Vijayan, Senior Auditor, KPMG and an Annapoorna Volunteer initiated a “Sponsor a steel plate” drive for the school going children of Sri Sathya Sai Higher School and Bhargava Rural High School (Kannada Medium School) in collaboration with Annapoorna. In this drive KPMG Volunteers distributed 465 steel plates and will be used for distributing daily breakfast and lunch to these students.
CSR EVENT: DISTRIBUTION OF SCHOOL BAGS TO SULLINKUNTE GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOL, BANGALORE ON 15TH AUGUST
KPMG volunteers distributed 75 school bags, notebooks and sweets on the occasion of Independence Day and spend quality time with the underprivileged school children. The employees spoke to the children with regard to serving the poor and importance of giving back to the society. The children performed dance on a patriotic song and few children sang patriotic songs on this occasion. The event ended with distribution of sweets to these children.
KPMG volunteers also visited Kannada Lower Primary School at Chikkathoguru, Bangalore and distributed coloring books, painting kits, ruled notebooks, stationary kits to these children. These children are part of the underprivileged group and can’t afford notebooks and other educational materials. The event ended with distributing sweets to the children.
