Since December 2017, Micro Focus started engaging with Annapoorna team to understand the various projects being done. As a part of the evaluation and engagement, Jalaja P, Kannan SM and Kalyan Neriyanuri, PMP of Micro Focus CSR team visited the school during the breakfast program in January 2018. From then, Micro Focus in collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has taken various initiatives for the benefit of the Society at large.

Micro Focus supported free morning nutrition in the form of nutritious Health Mix “Sai Sure” for needy children in Karnataka

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has formulated a health supplement mix (called Sai Sure) which has been designed to specifically meet the protein, calorie, vitamin and mineral requirements, as well as micronutrients required for  growing children. The tasty and highly nutritious SaiSure health mix along with the milk provided by the government in the schools (part of their mid-day meals) make it a wholesome meal for the children. This product is certified by the FSSAI and is manufactured in a FDA-approved facility. This product is easily consumed by simply mixing it in milk and also easily transportable to remote geographies. 

Micro Focus supported this cause by sponsoring this nutrition supplement to 75,244 needy school children, 3 days a week during Feb and Mar 2019 at 1452 mostly rural government schools located in the Karnataka districts of Chikkaballapur, Mandya & Channapatna.

Micro Focus supported free cooked breakfast served to needy children in rural areas of Chikkaballapur

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust provides Cooked Breakfast for Needy School Children in various Government schools across India. During March 2018 and March 2019 to Sep 2019, Micro Focus supported free breakfast to needy school-going children studying in various rural government schools in the Chikkaballapur district.

Micro Focus supported this cause by sponsoring this nutrition supplement to 75,244 needy school children, 3 days a week during Feb and Mar 2019 at 1452 mostly rural government schools located in the Karnataka districts of Chikkaballapur, Mandya & Channapatna.

Micro Focus supports free ready pre-mix breakfast served for needy children pilot schools in Erode & Salem Districts

In Erode and Salem district, Micro Focus supported Ready pre-mix breakfast to school children through the academic year. Annapoorna has arranged for the nutrition-rich pre-mix food to be delivered to a specific location as instructed by the government authorities. 

Micro Focus has also extended their helping hands toward sponsoring Biscuits for 27 Govt. Schools in Whitefield for a Total 4735 Children during March 2018.

During March 2018 Micro Focus has sponsored cooked breakfast on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Sai Sure health mix on Saturdays for 300 students of Banaswadi Government school, Bangalore.

As we all know, pure drinking water has considerably less micro-organisms and thereby ensures good health. Micro Focus has extended support towards installation of RO Water Purifier in Banaswadi School. This installation has helped 325 children studying in the school.  Similarly, they have also provided RO drinking water filter to 100 more schools and for people in 10 villages.

Micro Focus has also contributed towards various Science equipments for Banaswadi School wherein a standard set of chemicals, specimens, charts, photos, models, structures, a microscope and other apparatus were procured and a well-equipped laboratory was set up for the students. Development of science laboratory was done on similar lines for 10 more schools by Mirco Focus.

On February 14th 2018, Micro focus invited 50 students from Doddabele village to their campus, so that Mico Focus employees can meet and greet them. Various cultural and moral value sessions, drawing competitions were arranged for the students after which a sumptuous lunch was offered to the students. At the end of the session, as a token of love, school bags and chocolates were offered to the students. 

It was a great opportunity for the students as they got chance to step into a Multinational Company and explore the working station of employees. Micro Focus employees spent a quality time with the students and encouraged them to study well andhave a good life with a stable career.
