SRI SATHYA SAI ANNAPOORNA TRUST
with the support of
MICROFOCUS
Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with MICRO FOCUS has been reaching out to support labourers, covid warriors, covid affected patients in Telangana State.
Annapoorna Trust along with students & staff of Sri Sathya Sai Prashanthi Nikethanam in Kondapaka came forward in preparing & distribution of food in Siddipet district from 01-May till 03-June.
Preparation of food would start at the wee hours of the morning in the Prashanthi Nikethanam college premises and thereby, breakfast and lunch were packed and distributed to about 120 doctors, nurses & staff at various Government Hospitals everyday. When Telangana state imposed curfew restrictions due to the pandemic post 2 p.m. everyday, it became increasingly difficult for some who could not afford cooking on their own. So, in the evening hours & at dinner time, Annapoorna volunteers came forward & served food packets to around 400 to 500 people which included attendees of covid patients, police personnel, street beggars etc. More than 750 food packets were served to the needy everyday.
On 22-May, Sri Harish Rao – Minister of Finance, Telangana state made a surprise visit to Siddipet Government hospital & was extremely happy noticing the services rendered by Annapoorna Trust to the needy during this pandemic.
Overall, it was a satisfying experience to both the person rendering the service & the one who was served.
Thanks to Micro Focus team for their wholehearted support to Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in the service to the nation.
