Morning Nutrition Program in Indore in partnership with Infosys Foundation, July 19th, 2024

The value of collaboration cannot be overstated as Collaboration can create impactful changes.

 

In this context, the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust is thrilled to collaborate with The Infosys Foundation. Through this partnership, the Annapoorna Trust is proud to launch the Morning Nutrition Program for government school children in the State of Madhya Pradesh.

 

Infosys Limited is an Indian multinational information technology company that provides business consulting, information technology and outsourcing services. The company was founded in Pune and is headquartered in Bangalore. Infosys is the second-largest Indian IT company.

 

On July 19, 2024, the formal launch of the program took place at Bicholi Hapsi Government School Indore Rural. This program will cater to 4,300 schoolchildren across 20 schools across Indore Rural.

 

The flagship product, “SaiSure Millet (Ragi) Multi-Nutrient Health Mix,” combined with jaggery, will now be served to these children. This initiative will not only transform their hunger into happiness but also address their nutritional needs, which is a pressing concern, especially in rural areas.

 

Morning Nutrition has a revitalizing effect on government school children. Additionally, SaiSure Ragi has a significant and measurable impact on children’s growth, making it a valuable component of their diet.

It was an absolute pleasure to have Ms. Shrusti and Ms. Anunay from the Infosys Foundation for the launch. Ms. Shrusti, during the launch remarked that as a service-based software company, Infosys is committed to building impactful partnerships highlighting the collaboration with the Annapoorna Trust. She encouraged everyone to make the best use of the multi-nutrient supplement to grow both physically and mentally.

 

Government officials, including Ms. Sheela, (District Project Coordinator (DPC)), Mr. Manish (the Assistant Engineer (AE)), Ms. Hemalatha (Assistant Project Coordinator (APC)), Mr. Rajesh Varma (MDM Coordinator) as well as the BRCC, BAC, and their staff were present for the launch.

 

Ms. Sheela expressed that they were very happy to have received a very good nutrition product for children and they eagerly anticipate ongoing support from the Infosys Foundation and the Annapoorna Trust to help reach more children across the Indore district and Madhya Pradesh.


Representing the Annapoorna Trust was Mr. Santosh Allath – National Manager Operations along with Mr. Varun & Mr. Abhishek – Annapoorna Trust volunteers in Indore region.

Mr. Santosh gave the closing remarks for the day by stating, how the initiative which began with just 50 children has now expanded to serving 9 million children across the nation. He also emphasized the critical role of the SaiSure product in this success which takes care of inner and outer hunger of the child.

 

The Annapoorna Trust extends its heartfelt thanks to Ms. Monisha Saboo, Head of the Infosys Foundation, for her unwavering support of underprivileged children.
