Amazon Web Services, Inc. is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis. These cloud computing web services provide distributed computing processing capacity and software tools via AWS server farms.

AWS InCommunities, aims to make a positive change in communities, particularly in areas where AWS develops and manages its worldwide infrastructure. The programmes offered by AWS InCommunities are geared toward the growth of a community as a whole including the environment, people, and overall wellness.

AWS InCommunities arrived in India in 2018 with long-term community-focused projects in Navi Mumbai district of Maharashtra and further expanding into Ranga Reddy district of Telangana in 2020. Their programmes have concentrated on creating sustainable villages by enhancing local economy, infrastructure and other facilities. The Zilla Parishad High School in Meerkhanpet Mandal was renovated very recently. An environment that fosters development also involves proper nourishment to ensure the school children’s physical and mental well-being, and to meet this objective, a Morning Nutrition program was started.

Annapoorna Trust has collaborated with Amazon Web Services, Inc. in December 2022, to provide Morning Nutrition to 5000 government school-going children in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana. The Trust looks forward to working with AWS in these initiatives that will benefit the children and the community as a whole.
