Amazon Web Services, Inc. is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms and APIs to individuals, companies, and governments, on a metered pay-as-you-go basis. AWS InCommunities aims to make a positive change in communities, particularly in areas where AWS develops and manages its worldwide infrastructure. Four pillars anchor the work of AWS InCommunities: STEAM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths), Local Skills Development, Sustainability, and Hyperlocal Social Impact.

AWS InCommunities first came to India in 2018 with long-term community-focused programs, which were implemented in Navi Mumbai and extended to Ranga Reddy district, in Telangana by 2020. Since then, AWS InCommunities programs have focused on the development of sustainable villages by bolstering the local economy, essential infrastructure, market linkages, connectivity, and other basic amenities.

In December 2022, Annapoorna Trust partnered with AWS InCommunities to launch a significant nutritional initiative aimed at improving the well-being of government school children in Ranga Reddy district, Telangana. This collaboration initially targeted 5,000 children, providing them with essential morning nutrition. By the 2023-24 academic year, the program expanded to benefit 7,428 children across 82 schools in the district, reflecting its success and positive impact.

In 2024-25, the Morning Nutrition initiative is continuing its impactful work in Shabad, Yacharam, and Kandukur mandals, serving 7,435 children across 82 schools.
