Community engagement by JCPenney Employees, Jan 10th 2025

On January 10, 2025, Annapoorna Trust had the privilege of hosting a group of 35 employees from JCPenney India for a meaningful day of service and community engagement.

The day started with the employees participating in a tree plantation drive at the Government High School in Nandi Grama, where they successfully planted 60 saplings, including Neem, Badam, Mango, Ashoka, Champak, Mahogany, Golden Juniper, and Palm trees, enriching the school’s environment with greenery.

In addition to the tree planting, the employees engaged with the school students in small discussions and served them the SaiSure Fortified Health Mix.

Following this activity, the JCPenney India team visited the campus and witnessed the state-of-the-art facilities, including a free-of-cost multi-specialty hospital, auditorium, stadium, and the SaiSure Nutraceutical facility.

At the SaiSure facility, they had the opportunity to witness the production process of the SaiSure Multi-Nutrient Health Mix, a crucial supplement provided to government school children across the nation to improve their nutrition.

In 2024-25, JCPenney India’s support will benefit 73,260 government school children across Karnataka, providing them with the SaiSure Millet (Ragi) Multi-Nutrient Health Mix, which is complemented by government-provided milk. This collaboration significantly enhances the children’s well-being and nutrition.

A special thanks to the leadership team at JCPenney India for their invaluable participation and continued support:
