This program marks a significant milestone as it operates on an equal contribution model between the Assam government and Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this partnership has already been signed, underscoring a unified commitment to combat malnutrition and anaemia among children in the state.

Malnutrition and anaemia are particularly prevalent in Assam, especially among children from rural and tea-estate regions. Recognizing this critical need, the Annapoorna Trust has been actively expanding its outreach across the North-Eastern states. Currently, the trust’s initiatives are operational in Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Mizoram, with the ultimate goal of reaching all the Seven Sister States.
This launch represents more than just a nutritional program; it is a significant stride toward ensuring a healthier and brighter future for Assam’s children. By improving student nutrition, the collaborative efforts of the Annapoorna Trust and the Assam government will not only enhance physical health but also boost educational outcomes, creating a lasting positive impact for generations to come.
