Insights from Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai Talk

During the launch, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai shared profound wisdom, drawing from the teachings of Vyasa, who summarized the essence of his writings in one simple yet powerful statement: “To help someone is merit, and to hurt someone is sin.” Sadguru emphasized the importance of living by this principle, urging everyone to lead lives of love and service, while at the very least refraining from causing harm to others.

He also highlighted Rotary’s involvement in the missions’ global initiatives, including the Fiji Hospital, underscoring the meaningful partnership between Rotary and the Annapoorna Trust. Sadguru addressed the pressing issue of maternal and child health, noting that women and children are among the most vulnerable in society. Tragically, in India, a maternal or child mortality-related incident occurs every 7 to 8 seconds.

Sadguru mentioned that anaemia and malnutrition are significant root causes, along with the lack of healthcare and delivery services in rural areas. He stressed that addressing malnutrition can have a cascading positive impact on maternal and child health, and timely interventions like this program play a critical role in reaching the right people at the right time.

He shared that the Annapoorna Trust currently serves over 1 crore children across India, focusing on combating malnutrition and anaemia among schoolchildren, particularly girls and mothers. This initiative, he noted, is a vital step toward building a healthier and more equitable society.

A Shared Commitment to Health and Well-Being

This initiative represents a collaborative effort to improve maternal health and nurture healthier communities. Annapoorna Trust extends heartfelt gratitude to Rotary District 3191 for their unwavering support and dedication in making this vision a reality.
Together, we take a meaningful step forward in creating brighter futures and fostering healthier communities for generations to come.
