The partnership initially began with Hosakote taluk and has now been expanded to cover all four taluks of Bengaluru Rural District. Let No Child Go to School Hungry Ever.”

Strengthening the SaiSure Journey in Karnataka

Shri Sushanth Karanth, National Manager – Corporate Communications, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, spoke about the nutritional value of SaiSure Fortified Ragi Health Mix and its role in supporting the health and development of children.

The SaiSure programme has been implemented across Karnataka in collaboration with the Government, reaching government and government-aided school children through the State’s Ksheera Bhagya programme. In 2024, the statewide initiative was launched to reach over 55 lakh children, providing SaiSure Millet Multi Nutrient Health Mix along with Government-sponsored milk.

In 2025, during the Budget Session, then Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah announced the increase in SaiSure supplementation from three days to five days a week. This reaffirmed the Government’s commitment towards the health and development of children, while also reflecting the confidence placed in Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in implementing this large-scale nutrition initiative across the State.

A Collective Commitment to Children

The programme concluded with the ceremonial distribution of SaiSure Ragi Multi Nutrient Health Mix to students in the presence of the dignitaries. Chikkis and Multi-Grain Cookies were also distributed to the children.

The launch reflects a strong collaboration between Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, Volvo Group CSR Trust India, the Government of Karnataka, district administration, education department, schools and teachers, united by a common purpose—to ensure that children receive the nutrition they need to learn, grow and realise their potential.
