Wheels Global Foundation felicitated with the Power of Poshan Award at the Sathya Sai Grama, 28 Jan 2025

Wheels Global Foundation is one such organization, founded by IIT alumni, which has exemplified this by making a meaningful impact on countless lives. Through their mentorship, financial support, and technological solutions, they have created a ripple effect in enhancing nutrition, education, and healthcare for underserved communities.

 

Honouring the Foundation

It was a great privilege to welcome the esteemed members for a groundbreaking symposium of the “WHEELS Global Foundation, USA & India” in collaboration with the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission – One World, One Family at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli on 28th January 2025. The occasion was truly a celebration of shared purpose and commitment to social transformation.

 

The day commenced with a campus tour showcasing the vast impact of the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission in the areas of nutrition, education, and healthcare.

 

Following the tour, the delegates gathered at Ataee Shaw Hall, where an engaging session took place. The discussions centered on the current and potential transformative initiatives in CSR, Rural Development, Philanthropy, and Social Impact Investing.

Key Areas of Collaboration Discussed:

 

Enhancing Child Nutrition – The Morning Nutrition Program by the Annapoorna Trust serves a Fortified Millet-Based Mix – “SaiSure” to government schoolchildren across 25 states in India.

✔ Life-Saving Healthcare for Children – Efforts by the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Heart Care Center – that support free cardiac procedures for children with congenital heart disease have significantly improved survival rates.

Empowering Future Healthcare Professionals – A free medical college – “Sadguru Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences Research” is equipping rural students with the necessary training to serve as doctors and nurses in underserved areas.

Promoting Quality Education with Strong Values – Rural children are gaining access to values-based education, nurturing ethical leadership and holistic development.

Bridging the Digital Divide – IT training programs are enabling rural youth to acquire technical skills, securing employment in technology-driven industries. Additionally, healthcare workers are receiving specialized training to improve maternal and neonatal healthcare services.

 

Following the discussion, the session concluded on a high note with the presentation of the esteemed “Power of Poshan Award” to the members of the “WHEELS Global Foundation,” in recognition of their steadfast support for the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission.

 

Afterward, our revered founder and chairman of the Annapoorna Trust, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, had an insightful interaction with the members.

 

As a part of the existing collaboration, the WHEELS Global Foundation supports the mission by integrating spoken tutorials for maternal and newborn care and introducing advanced diagnostic and screening innovations from the IIT system to underserved communities.

 

The “Sai on WHEELS” medical bus, a groundbreaking donation by WHEELS Global Foundation, is transforming rural healthcare by delivering essential medical services directly to the doorsteps of those unable to reach a hospital. This initiative ensures greater accessibility, bringing critical healthcare to those in need and making a lasting impact on underserved communities.

 

The symposium at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, was a testament to the power of collaboration and shared purpose in driving meaningful social change. The WHEELS Global Foundation and the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission have demonstrated that by leveraging knowledge, technology, and collective goodwill, transformative solutions in nutrition, education, and healthcare can be realized for underserved communities.
