Celebrating Teaching Community, Cooks & Children for their support towards Children’s Nutrition
The Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust is driven by a powerful vision of, “Let no child go to school hungry ever!”. Achieving this vision requires the commitment of one of our key pillars which is support from our dedicated teaching community and the diligent cooks who make the Morning Nutrition Program seamless by serving delicious & nutritious SaiSure to children. To express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation, the Trust recently distributed diaries for teachers and cooks, while distributing chocolates to the children.
This distribution coincided with the birthday of our esteemed founder, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai. What better way to celebrate this special occasion than by spreading joy and love through the distribution of chocolates to the wonderful children?
The Annapoorna Trust’s outreach encompassed a wide range of districts in Karnataka such as Chikkaballapur, Chamarajanagar, Dakshina Kannada, Bengaluru Rural, Bagalkot, Belagavi, Chikmagalur, Chitradurga, Hassan, Haveri, Raichur, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Kolar, Mandya, Tumkur, Shivamogga, Ramanagara etc. Additionally, this distribution extended nationwide, reaching various districts where Morning Nutrition Program is currently in operation across 13+ states in India including Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Nagaland, Puducherry, Gujarat, Goa, Sikkim, Tripura, Kerala etc.
During the Clean & Green Excellence Awards on July 26, 2024, celebrated as part of Guru Poornima week, the awardees were honoured with diaries, brochures, value education books, and various goodies to encourage & promote Government schools in Karnataka.
Also, during Guru Poornima week, Grama Seva was conducted in the surrounding villages of Chikkaballapur where the distribution of laddoos took place.
The dedication of teachers and especially cooks is unmatched. Their ongoing support is crucial for ensuring children get their Morning Nutrition. Teaching community is more eager to continue this vital support to positively impact the lives of many children.
