Rise Against Hunger and JP Morgan Join Forces to Support Annapoorna School Children, 9th August
Rise Against Hunger is a nonprofit organization with a vision of a ‘World without Hunger’. They focus on Nourishing Lives, Empowering Communities, and Responding to Emergencies.
In a remarkable demonstration of solidarity and corporate social responsibility on 09th August, Rise Against Hunger supported by the Annapoorna Trust collaborated with JP Morgan to prepare food packs for distribution to children.
Throughout the day, JP Morgan employees assembled food packages for school children from Nizamabad, Siddipet, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, and Jagtial District as part of the Nutrition Program supported by the Annapoorna Trust. This collaborative effort highlights the impact of partnerships in tackling crucial social issues and the importance of providing Nutrition to every child.
These food packets will be distributed to Government schools in partnership with Annapoorna Trust. Mid-day meal cooks prepare these delicious meals. In this way, collective partnership is adding value to existing infrastructure & schemes of state & central Governments & yet another opportunity to provide nutritious meals to school children coming from economically weaker section of society.
Mr. Dhananjay Rao, Manager of Operations, represented The Annapoorna Trust at the event, where he informed the audience about the schools that would benefit from the collected food packets. He also discussed the magnitude of the work that Annapoorna Trust is involved in. This initiative marks a significant step forward in the fight against hunger and malnutrition, offering essential support to those in need.
Such event exemplifies the impactful collaboration between corporate entities and NGOs, demonstrating how they can work together to make a tangible difference in the lives of children and ensure a brighter, healthier future for the next generation.
Moving forward, there may be opportunities to explore direct engagement with JP Morgan, as well as other corporates involved in these volunteering activities. This could open doors for further collaboration and support for our initiatives.
