On June 16th, 2021, 481 Mid-day meal (MDM) cooks and their families were provided with grocery kits. These cooks were hit hard due to the covid-19 pandemic situations. Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with ‘Rural India Supporting Trust’ (RIST) and ‘Partnerships For Change’ (PFC) has been reaching out to support 15,000 needy families in total in various states of rural India. Each beneficiary will receive 1 Month dry ration consisting of 10kg of rice, 2kg of wheat flour, 1 kg of toor dal, 1kg channa dal, 1 litre cooking oil, 2kg of sugar, 1kg of salt, vermicelli, chilli powder, jeera, mustard and turmeric. The meals are being hygienically prepared at Adamya Chetna’s well-equipped kitchen located in Bengaluru.
The volunteers of Annapoorna Trust and Adamya Chetna come together from different locations to pack the meals for our frontline workers. They pack about 4800 meal containers for lunch and 2300 meal containers for dinner.
