Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh | 1 October 2026
The Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has launched its Annapoorna Morning Nutrition Programme in Sonbhadra District, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), Singrauli. The initiative aims to provide nutritional support to 10,000 government school students, contributing to their health, well-being and overall development.
The programme was formally launched on 1 October 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening morning nutrition support for school-going children in the district.
Nutritious Start to the School Day
Under the initiative, children will be served SaiSure Millet (Ragi) Multi Nutrient Health Mix mixed with milk as part of their morning nutrition.
SaiSure is a fortified, nutrient-dense health mix developed to complement the nutritional needs of growing children. The formulation incorporates essential micronutrients such as Iron, Calcium, Vitamins A, D and B12, and Folic Acid, along with the nutritional benefits of millet.
Fortified nutrition plays an important role in addressing micronutrient requirements during childhood. SaiSure is nutrition designed by experts with child-specific nutritional requirements in mind, helping provide children with a wholesome and nourishing start to their school day.
The Annapoorna Morning Nutrition Programme seeks to complement children’s regular meals by ensuring that nutrition reaches them directly at school, where they can benefit from a consistent and structured morning nutrition intervention.
