Morning Nutrition Launch at Kagaznagar Mandal, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District – Telangana, 8th July, 2022

Annapoorna Morning Nutrition was launched on 08th July 2022 in Kagaznagar Mandal, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District in Telangana state. The launch event took place at MPPS Chinthaguda Primary School & also MPPS Kosini Primary School. Morning nutrition program for a total of 780 students will be started in 9 schools in Kagaznagar mandal.

 

Mr. Koneru Konappa who is MLA of Sirpur Constituency was the chief guest for the event. Other dignitaries present were Mr. Ashok Kumar – District Education Officer, Mr. Bikshapathi – Mandal Education Officer, Mr. Kasam Srinivas – Agricultural Market Committee Chairman, Mr. Athram Sanjeev – Sarpanch of Chintaguda, Mr. Srinivas Goud – Sarpanch of Kosini, Mr. Laxminarayana and Mr. Anirani – Headmasters in school.

 

Annapoorna Trust was represented by Mr. Pradeep Kumar – Telangana state co-ordinator & Mr. Dhananjay Rao Ejapu – Manager in Marketing & Digital communication. Many active volunteers of Annapoorna Trust, Battu Mallesham, T Raghuveer Singh, P Murali, P Nagaraju, K Rajeshwar, Shankar, Devender, Laxman, Venkataswamy also took part and ensured the program was executed in a smooth manner.

 

Mr. Koneru Konappa spoke to the media about Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust and its various activities in social sector and said he was grateful to the Trust for getting this project launched at their mandal which would benefit students of this region. He agreed to personally oversee the smooth running of the program in his constituency and also assist in identifying schools in interior and tribal regions where malnutrition is still prevalent.

 

Mr. Pradeep Kumar spoke on the occasion and stressed on the importance of active participation from all 3 wings namely – Sarkara, Samaja & Sanstha which would indeed make the project effective and reach the needy. He told that, active participation from locals would ensure sustenance of the project in the long run. He further conveyed the Trust’s plans to cover additional schools in this region in a phased manner and would take discussions forward for providing SaiSure for pregnant women in this region.

 

Mr. Dhananjay Rao addressed the teachers, volunteers and explained different options like cooked breakfast – at Govt. School Kitchen, Basic foods – suitable where cooking food is not feasible & SaiSure multi nutrient health mix – collaborating on a larger scale with Governments. He also told that, our breakfast menus have been specifically designed to provide a variety of nutrients that will help keep students energetic and willing
to learn with interest until their lunchtime.
