Mr. Surendra Babu – Andhra Pradesh co-ordinator said in his talk, “Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has been at the forefront providing Morning Nutrition to needy rural govt. school children. Many children come to school on an empty stomach. They find it very difficult to focus on what the teacher teaches at the school while being hungry. So, they will not be able to fare well in studies. Eventually, they fail to excel in studies & parents direct their children to work as labourers.”

“To overcome this vicious cycle, under the guidance of Sadguru Madhusudan Sai, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has started serving these underprivileged children in the tribal area of Satyavedu. Kellogg’s India has come forward to support 2600 children in this mandal in collaboration with Annapoorna Trust. Children are served Kellogg’s chocos and also SaiSure multi nutrient health mix on alternate days. These two products Kellogg’s & SaiSure not only provide the required carbohydrates & proteins but more importantly cater to the micronutrients in particular, ensuring a healthy child. We urge the children to make use of this opportunity & also request teachers, parents & elders of the village to come forward to ensure children are benefited from this scheme.”

Mr. Hari Jayabalan – Senior HR manager at Kellogg’s factory in Satyavedu said, “Kellogg’s has collaborated with Annapoorna Trust in serving needy children in Satyavedu mandal. Previously we had also supported Satyavedu college catering to their infrastructure needs. Kellogg’s India is keen to ensure needy tribal children are benefited by this nutrition initiative.”

Annapoorna Trust looks forward for continued association with Kellogg’s India.
