Relief material to 131 families in Nizamabad, Khanapur & Hyderabad in Telangana – Apr 2020

Nationwide lockdowns a requirement during the time of major pandemic to reduce infections but when no relief comes, to the poor, it becomes an adversity. 60 families were provided relief during the nationwide lock down in Nizamabad district of Telangana. Daily essentials were distributed to these poor, needy homes. No jobs, with businesses shut down, no incomes, the poor were clueless. Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in partnership with Prashanti Bala Mandira Trust took on this relief activity, bringing some hope to them.

 

Like most rural areas Khanapur was also reeling under the effects of covid. 50 needy families were most affected in this area. Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust and Prashanti Bala Mandira Trust supplied these families with essential commodities to pull them through tough times. Annapoorna’s morning nutrition reaches the government school of Khanapur too. These children’s parents were recipients of the relief kits. Khanapur’s Corporate Chairman of the education committee and the Chairman of the village development committee were present during the distribution.

 

Likewise, Annapoorna team were able to identify 21 needy families of Kanjar village, Telangana state, who had gone hungry without a proper meal in the past few days. Out of work and lock downs statewide, certainly had a downside too. Reaching out to these 21 families with groceries was the need of the hour and so it was done as quickly as possible. The village head, the SMC Chairman and Vice Chairman of the village were present at the distribution too. Appeasing hunger is man’s most primary need.
