Meeting with Vice Chancellor of Gulbarga University – Sri Dayanand Agsar on 27th July, 2022
As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which commenced in March 2021 to commemorate 75 years of Indian Independence, community development scheme in 750 villages was envisaged previously by the chief minister of Karnataka, Mr Basavaraj Bommai during his Independence Day speech in 2021. The planning and statistics department led by Dr Shalini Rajneesh had identified and surveyed 750 villages with the help of NSS volunteers. SaiSure multi-nutrient health mix by the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, being the nutrition partner working with Government of Karnataka, is sure to play an important role in this development scheme by catering to 300 villages in the aspirational districts of Raichur, Yadgir and Kalaburagi.
National Service Scheme (NSS) team would be the Annapoorna Trust’s collaborating partner for the Nutrition intervention undertaken in Government schools across 300 villages comprising of more than 60,000 children in the districts of Raichur, Yadgir and Kalaburagi in Karnataka. NSS would also be providing on-the-ground support in conjunction with the Gulbarga University and Raichur University.
To discuss ways of effective implementation of the project with minimum interference, Annapoorna Trust members Mr. Anand Kadali, Mr. Sai Prasad Ivaturi, Mr. Jayaprakash Tallam & Mr. Prabhakar Gupta met the Vice Chancellor of Gulbarga University – Sri Dayanand Agsar on 27th July 2022. He was happy to note that, the virtuous ecosystem and effective collaborations created by Annapoorna Trust positively affects children and families at a micro level while, at a macro level, it helps the various government schemes reach the doorsteps of the intended beneficiaries
