Karnataka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi Visits SaiSure Nutraceutical Facility
On February 9, 2025, Karnataka Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Satish Jarkiholi visited the SaiSure Nutraceutical Facility to witness the large-scale implementation of the state’s morning nutrition program.
The program, which serves 55 lakh government school children across the State of Karnataka, provides the SaiSure Micronutrient Health Mix. This Fortified health mix is served along with the Ksheera Bhagya Milk Powder supplied by the Government of Karnataka. The initiative addresses morning hunger, hidden hunger, and malnutrition while also improving the overall health of children.
Minister Jarkiholi witnessed the entire product life cycle of these nutritional supplements. He recognized the significant positive impact the program has had on child nutrition across the state and praised its efficiency and collaborative success.
The Minister also acknowledged the efforts of the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, which serves 1 crore children nationwide, ensuring that no child goes hungry and that each receives the necessary nutrition to start their day healthily.
This visit underscores the government’s continued commitment to improving child health and well-being, marking a crucial step towards ensuring a healthier future for Karnataka’s children.

Ex- Sri Lankan Cricketer Romesh Kaluwitharana visits SaiSure Nutraceutical Facility
It was great honour to welcome former renowned Sri Lankan cricketer Mr. Romesh Kaluwitharana, who visited the SaiSure Nutraceutical Facility at Sathya Sai Grama on 9th February 2025.
This facility has been instrumental in providing vital nutritional supplement for the Morning Nutrition Program to over 1 Crore children across 25 states and 4 Union Territories in India.
During his visit, Mr. Kaluwitharana observed the seamless production and distribution process of SaiSure Nutritional Supplements, including the SaiSure Malt & Millet Multi-Nutrient Health Mix.
Impressed by the initiative’s efficiency and impact, Kaluwitharana and his team expressed keen interest in implementing SaiSure’s nutritional solutions for underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. Discussions were held on potential collaboration, focusing on adopting the SaiSure model to enhance child nutrition and overall health in the country.

Meet with the Secretary of Education, Assam – 27th Sept 2024
On 27th Sept 2024, Mr. Santosh Allath – National Manager Operations met Mr. S N Chaudhary – Secretary of Education – Assam. Briefing was provided with regards to presence of morning nutrition in Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland since last 3 years & also explained about SaiSure Multi Nutrient Health Mix which contains micro-nutrients that are needed for students’ growth & having wide acceptance among student & teaching communities.
Chaudhary sir was convinced with the impact fortified nutrition is having on students physical & cognitive developments. He was keen to get the intervention started in Assam state. Finally, upon Chaudary’s direction, also met Ms. Suranjana Sengupta – Director of Elementary Education & briefed about the possible intervention in Assam. Annapoorna Trust looks forward to expanding its presence in Assam state.

Governor of Meghalaya Visits Sathya Sai Grama
The journey of Morning Nutrition continues to expand in the Northeastern states, particularly in Tripura, Nagaland, and Sikkim, where the trust is dedicated to reaching children in need of proper nutrition. In this regard, it was our very privilege to have Sri Vijay Shankar ji at Sri Sathya Sai Grama on the 5th of October 2024 during the auspicious period of the Navaratri celebrations.
During this period the Governors visit was a significant occasion. It provided an ideal opportunity to showcase the SaiSure Nutraceutical facility, which plays a pivotal role in delivering nutritious fortified mix to millions of children across India. Following the tour, the trust members engaged in a productive discussion on how this Morning Nutrition service could extend its benefit to the children of Meghalaya and also presented Sir Vijay Shankar Ji with packets of SaiSure as a token of love. This visit has paved the way for exploring stronger collaborations, and we are hopeful for a future where collective efforts can further uplift the children of Meghalaya, ensuring they receive the nourishment needed. We eagerly look forward to deepening our partnership and continuing our mission of service.

Honorable Speaker of Assam Legislative Assembly – Sri Biswajit Daimary visits Sathya Sai Grama
On 6th October, we had the absolute honour of hosting Sri Biswajit Daimary, the esteemed speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli. His visit coincided with the auspicious Navaratri celebrations, making it incredibly special for everyone present.
During his time on campus, Sri Daimary was introduced to various impactful service initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and nutrition. A key highlight of his visit was the SaiSure Morning Nutrition Program, which has been making significant steps in improving the nutritional intake of schoolchildren in several northeastern states.
The SaiSure Morning Nutrition Program has successfully been implemented in Tripura, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Mizoram, reaching over 10,000 students combined. There were discussions to explore opportunities to implement this nutrition program in Assam’s government schools. Shri Daimary expressed strong interest in collaborating to bring these initiatives to the state, emphasizing the potential to improve children’s health and education outcomes.

Dr. Ashwath Narayan visits Sathya Sai Grama & SaiSure Nutraceutical Facility
We were privileged to host Dr. Ashwath Narayan C N, an MLA who previously served as the 8th Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka from August 20, 2019, to July 26, 2021.
During 2nd week of October 2024, he visited the SaiSure nutraceutical facility which supplies SaiSure health supplement to Annapoorna Trust & took part in Navaratri celebrations in Sathya Sai Grama. During the factory tour, he received a briefing on the process of preparing the fortified mix and the holistic approach to integrating nutrition with farming communities.
He was also informed about the Minimum Livelihood Price (MLP), which is paid to farmers and is higher than the prices they typically receive. Additionally, he learned how we procure raw materials directly from farmers, fortify millets at the SaiSure facility, and ensure that these nutritious products reach school children in rural areas across the nation. He was appreciative of SaiSure Ragi health mix being served to entire 55 lakh students in Karnataka.

Sri Suresh Prabhu Visits Sathya Sai Grama
Sathya Sai Grama had the distinct honour of hosting Sri Suresh Prabhu, a prominent Indian politician and the Chancellor of Rishihood University, on November 24, 2024. Sri Suresh Prabhu is a highly respected Chartered Accountant, policy maker, strategic change leader, and seasoned parliamentarian, having served as a Union Minister and as a Member of Parliament.
During his visit, Sri Suresh Prabhu was briefed about the transformative initiatives of the Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission, which focuses on three critical domains: Nutrition, Health, and Education.
Under the Nutrition domain, he learned about the Morning Nutrition Program, having achieved the remarkable milestone of serving over 1 billion meals nationwide as of July 2024. He was also briefed on the innovative SaiSure Fortified Nutrition Mix, a nutritious blend of ragi (finger millet) and jaggery served with milk.

Meet with the Sikkim’s Education Department Officials
During the first week of November 2024, our National Manager, Mr. Santosh Allath, had the privilege of meeting with Ms. Sonam Denzongpa, Principal Director, and Mr. Tseringkee Chingapa, Director of Education in Sikkim. These esteemed officials extended their heartfelt gratitude for the impactful initiatives undertaken by our trust to support government school children in the region.
In these discussions, Mr. Santosh Allath provided a comprehensive update on the progress of our ongoing projects in Sikkim.
The visit also shed light on a significant moment for the Sikkim Education Department where Mr. Prem Thinlay Bhutia, a representative of the department, was felicitated during the Power of Poshan celebrations on behalf of the Sikkim Education Department, held in September 2024. His presence underscored the department’s active involvement and commitment to promoting nutrition and education for the state’s children.
Mr. Santosh also had the privilege of visiting schools in Mangan and the East District.
The engagement reaffirmed the trust’s dedication to addressing critical areas such as nutrition and education in the State of Sikkim and the whole of North-East, ensuring that students not only excel academically but also thrive in a healthy, supportive environment.
