As volunteers shared the Trust’s inspiring journey, local teachers highlighted the importance of nourishing not just the body, but the soul. The first servings of SaiSure, a fortified millet drink made from ragi and jaggery, were served, and the children’s smiles illuminated the event. This fortified drink was a promise of health and hope.

Annapoorna’s vision is clear: this was just the beginning. With Varanasi now part of the growing network along with Lucknow, Ayodhya, Siddharth Nagar, Ghaziabad, Bijnor & Noida serving close to 8,000 students in the state of Uttar Pradesh, the Trust pledged to reach every needy child in the region, ensuring that hunger would no longer be an obstacle to education.

The launch marked a powerful step forward, uniting tradition with a brighter future for Varanasi’s children, as Annapoorna Trust continued its mission to nourish minds and bodies across India.
