Covid continues to spread darkness, yet Annapoorna Trust finds means to keep the lamp lit – 4th June 2020
A rural primary school at Rakkampatty in Thogaimalai area of Karur district, which is under Annapoorna’s morning nutrition scheme, had now been shut due to the covid lock down. When Annapoorna Trust saw no way of getting breakfast to these school children, they prepared grocery bags full of dry grains, pulses, spices, cooking oil and more. This was done in collaboration with Vidhaigal Trust and given to the recipients, who were none other than the parents of these school children. School cooks were also given these grocery kits. The distribution was made in the presence of the school Headmaster, teachers, and members of Vidhaigal Trust.
