Nutritional Intervention in collaboration with Oracle Inc, February 2022
Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with Oracle India Private Limited started a distribution drive of Immunity Boosting kits for moderately acute malnutrition (MAM) children in the wake of COVID-19 Pandemic. Around 1175 MAM children from Siddlaghatta and Gudibande taluks in Chikkaballapur district in Karnataka will receive immunity boosting kits for 6 months.
The launch took place on February 10th 2022 in Sidlaghatta in the presence of Deputy Director of Women & Child Development, Mr. Ashwatamma, and on February 11th 2022 in Gudibande in the esteemed presence of Child Development Project Officer, Mr. Rafiq.
Each immunity boosting kits comprise of:
• SaiSure, a multi nutrient supplement that has shown positive results in children’s nutrition
• Amla (Indian gooseberry) candy, a rich source of vitamin C and a powerful antioxidant
• Imli Candy, traditional mix of essential herbs
• Peanuts Chikki, a combined source of vitamins, proteins, and iron
• Masks
• Activity book
The little children were very happy to receive these multiple items in the form of kit. The excitement in the faces of these small children spoke volumes. This activity will build the nutrition profile of malnourished children in rural areas and will provide immunity against covid and other diseases.
