Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Visits Sathya Sai Grama, Appreciates Holistic Education and Envisions SaiSure Nutrition Programme for the State Muddenahalli | 24 July 2026

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, visited Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, on 24 July 2026 to participate in the Valedictory Session of the International Conference on Values Education 2026, held on the theme “Human Being to Being Human – A Journey Through Values Education.” The conference brought together educators from 32 countries, representatives from 19 universities, and nearly 95 education leaders, reaffirming the growing global movement towards education rooted in human values.

Before the valedictory programme, the Hon’ble Chief Minister toured the vibrant campus of Sathya Sai Grama and witnessed the institution’s integrated model of education, healthcare and nutrition.

He interacted with nursing students, many of whom hailed from different districts of Chhattisgarh, including Bastar, and was delighted to learn that students from his home state are pursuing professional education completely free of cost while being nurtured in an environment centred on compassion and service.

The Chief Minister also visited the Veda Paatashaala, the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam, and experienced firsthand the unique educational ecosystem where academic excellence is seamlessly integrated with character formation, discipline and human values.

A key highlight of the visit was the SaiSure Nutraceutical Facility, where he was introduced to the manufacturing process and scientific foundation of the SaiSure Ragi (Millet) Multi Nutrient Health Mix, a fortified morning nutrition supplement that benefits millions of government school children across India.

Impressed by the scale, quality and nutritional impact of the programme, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai expressed a strong desire to see the SaiSure Morning Nutrition Programme implemented in  Chhattisgarh so that children from economically disadvantaged communities could also receive the benefits of this scientifically formulated nutrition intervention. He appreciated the Trust’s commitment towards addressing child malnutrition through sustainable and scalable solutions.

Addressing the gathering during the valedictory session in the august presence of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, Sri B. N. Narasimha Murthy, Chief Mentor of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Gurukulam, and Prof. M. S. Srikanta Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence, the Chief Minister shared his heartfelt reflections on the visit.

He remarked that he had been trying to visit Sathya Sai Grama for nearly one and a half years and believed that the opportunity had finally materialised through the blessings of Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai.

“I had heard so much about Sathya Sai Grama, but today I have witnessed something far greater than what I had imagined,” he said.

Recalling that Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai was born in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said he felt completely at home at Sathya Sai Grama and expressed immense pride that such a spiritual leader hailed from his state.

Drawing inspiration from India’s ancient centres of learning such as Takshashila and Nalanda, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai noted that in today’s age of Artificial Intelligence and rapid technological advancement, education must continue to be anchored in ethics, compassion and human values.

He commended the Sri Sathya Sai University of Human Excellence for demonstrating how modern education and timeless values can coexist harmoniously, while also applauding the institution’s unique model of providing completely free education to deserving students irrespective of their financial background.

The Chief Minister further appreciated the humanitarian healthcare initiatives of the One World One Family Mission, observing that hospitals functioning without cash counters continue to inspire confidence and hope among thousands of families.

Speaking about Chhattisgarh, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the state’s remarkable transformation, its rich natural resources and growing opportunities for development. He extended a warm invitation to everyone present to visit Chhattisgarh and experience its culture, hospitality and immense potential.

The visit concluded on a highly positive note, opening avenues for deeper collaboration in the fields of value-based education, healthcare and child nutrition. The Hon’ble Chief Minister’s appreciation of the SaiSure Morning Nutrition Programme and his vision of expanding it in Chhattisgarh marks another significant step towards ensuring that no child is deprived of the nutrition needed to learn, grow and thrive.
