Toilet construction at GHPS Myllappanahalli School, Chikkaballapur – June 2017

Focused on water hygiene and sanitation in the rural villages, Annapoorna Trust constructed two separate toilets for boys and girls in the GHPS Myllappanahalli School. There are 45 boys and 35 girls in the school who were used to open defecation earlier. The children were taught the devastating consequences of open defecation on human health and were encouraged to use the toilets.

 

Annapoorna volunteers entered the villages for providing nutrition, to start with, leading to overall development and uplift of villages, thereby marching on toward open-defecation free India!
