SaiSure Multi Nutrient Health Mix launch in Government Schools in Doddaballapur, June 15th 2022
On 15th June 2022 Lions Club International joined hands with Annapoorna Trust in serving the rural children of Doddaballapur, Chikkaballapur and Bengaluru north at Government Pre-University college Doddaballapur.
Lions are a global service network of volunteers that make a difference in their local communities. Lions Clubs in India are the second largest group of volunteers in the world after USA, with 6,335 Clubs and 2,35,000 members. Lions can reach out to help anywhere across the country, even in the remotest locations.
Whenever a Lions Club gets together, problems get smaller, and communities get better. That is because Lions help where help is needed. True to its vision, MOU was signed with Lions Club district 317F & Annapoorna Trust to support with multi nutrient Saisure health mix distribution in 26 schools for 2477 children in Kodigehalli & Hosahalli grama panchayats, Doddaballapur Municipality in the first phase. This would expand to 5000 children for the next three years around Doddaballapur, Chikkaballapur & Bengaluru north.

Launch took place in the presence of Lions District Governor 317F – C K Manohar Nambiar. Ln B S Nagaraj – PMJF addressed the audience as, “This initiative taken in the field of Nutrition is for long term. We thank Anand Kadali and his team from Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust for joining hands with Lions Club district 317F for this noble initiative. Most of the children come to school without breakfast. This multi nutrient mix would assist for the overall development of the child. We look forward for continued association with Annapoorna Trust for more such projects benefiting rural children and communities.
Anand Kumar Kadali – Executive Secretary & Trustee – Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust addressed the assembled children as, “I request each one of you to start the day with meditation. This would help to plan the day well & also improve the quality of life. Children need to respect and obey to their parents. Parents are to be treated equal to God.
SaiSure is an example of Annapoorna adding value to the Ksheera Bhagya scheme of Government of Karnataka, where the government provides milk to children, while Annapoorna adds the nutritional element in the form of the health mix. Going forward, SaiSure will be provided to school children all 5 days a week during morning.
