Strengthening Bonds: The Persistent Foundation Team visits Sathya Sai Grama, 14th Nov 2024

The Annapoorna Trust had the absolute pleasure of hosting the esteemed team from the Persistent Foundation of Persistent Systems on 14th November 2024, led by their Chairperson, Mrs. Sonali Deshpande, at our headquarters in Sathya Sai Grama. Joining her were Chitra Byregowda – Head of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and Yogita Apte – Lead CSR, Mahalakshmi – Senior Executive.

The Persistent Foundation has been a steadfast partner for Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, playing a crucial role in addressing child malnutrition and improving health outcomes. Even during the challenging COVID-19 period in 2021, they supported a Covid-Preventive Nutritional Intervention Program, providing the SaiSure supplement to undernourished children aged 2 to 6 years, significantly boosting their immunity in the Telangana region.

This partnership grew stronger with initiatives like the Nutrition Intervention for SAM and MAM children in Telangana’s Siddipet and Ranga Reddy districts in July 2022. They have also been supporting areas in Goa. The recent launch in August 2024 of a similar program in Chikkaballapur, Chintamani, and Sidlaghatta Taluks of Karnataka has further strengthened the partnership.

During their visit to Sathya Sai Grama in November 2024, we had the chance to share the progress and impact of our programs and discuss ideas for improving and expanding them further. They also had the opportunity to witness the other two key pillars of the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission: Medical and Education. Their visit to the free hospital, which serves as a pillar of support and care, and the free Medical College left a strong impression, showcasing the mission’s dedication to holistic service and empowerment.

These conversations highlighted our shared commitment to tackling important health and nutrition challenges and showed how working together can create real and positive change.

As we look forward to many more years of working together, visits like this inspire us to keep striving for excellence. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Sonali Deshpande, Chitra Byregowda, Yogita Apte, and the entire Persistent Foundation team for their unwavering support and dedication.
