Avadi a suburb on the outskirts of Chennai gets relief packages – 9th April 2020
Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust collaborated with Danirasa foundation to bring relief in the form of grocery hampers to daily wage workers in Avadi. This distribution was done when things turned for the worse and the state lockdown had been extended. The honourable Minister Mr. Mafoi Pandiarajan for Tamil language, Tamil culture and Archaeology, Government of Tamil Nadu was supportive and encouraged the gesture extended to the needy. A total of 548 wage workers were recipients of these daily food essentials.
