Introducing SaiSure and its extension to the entire Chikkaballapur district – Feb 2019
SaiSure is a unique multi nutrient supplement programme for pregnant women, toddlers and children offered totally free of cost.
Launched through the Annapoorna Breakfast Programme and Divine Mother and Child Health Programme, in Government Schools and Primary Health care Centres, SaiSure has seen very encouraging results in terms of ease of use, scalability and most importantly, in terms of improved health parameters of the recipients. The formulation has macro and micronutrients essential for the growth, development and healthy life. SaiSure’s vision is to ensure that no mother and no child ever suffers from lack of access to good quality nutritional supplements.
An innovative, cost-effective, scientific, easily scalable model to address undernutrition in most vulnerable groups will indeed be the beginning of a Nutrition Revolution!
Press coverage of SaiSure being provided in 25 select schools as a pilot project and its extension to the entire Chikkaballapur district – 12 Feb 2019
Children of 25 select schools in Sidlaghatta and Gouribidanur taluks in Chikkaballapur were provided with SaiSure Health mix. This Health mix was provided along with milk supplied under Ksheera Bhagya scheme of the state government. A Study which showed improvement in health parameters of the children, after their health screening both before and after giving the fortified milk, made the Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer to announce extension to the entire district.
Soon, the children can enjoy tastier and at the same time, nutritious milk. This news got press coverage in New Indian Express.
