Nutrition Support Initiative for Government School Children in Ghattu Mandal
On 10th April, 2026, a meaningful step towards improving child nutrition and education was marked with the project launch of Inspire Brands Global Innovation Centre India Private Limited in Ghattu Mandal, Jogulamba Gadwal District, Telangana. The event highlighted the distribution of nutritious millet peanut chikkis to government school children.
This initiative is being implemented by the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in collaboration with Inspire Brands Global Innovation Centre India Private Limited. Over the past two years, the program has been successfully supporting the nutritional needs of children in the region.
Objective of the Initiative
The primary aim of this initiative is to enhance the nutritional status of school children, thereby improving their overall health and learning outcomes. By addressing nutritional gaps, the program seeks to:
• Encourage regular school attendance
• Improve concentration levels in classrooms
• Support better academic performance
For the academic year 2026–2027, the initiative is set to expand its reach:
• Total children covered: Approximately 1,200
• Duration: 220 working days
• Daily nutrition: One ready-to-eat millet chikki (20 grams) per child
These millet-based snacks are designed to provide essential nutrients in a simple, accessible format.
