Extended lock downs are a call for more help – Coimbatore – May 9th, 2020

The extended lock downs only spelt more misery for the poor living in Ettimadi within the district of Coimbatore. The government school children of Ettimadi who were under the purview of Annapoorna Trust’s breakfast nutrition scheme were none the less feeling the back lash of extended lock downs. Schools closed meant no breakfast and maybe no food too. This deteriorating situation had to be made right. The families and health of these children had to be protected. With starvation at such close quarters, Annapoorna Trust volunteers arranged for bags full of wheat to be distributed on war footing as quickly as possible.
