Food & groceries to needy families at Sircilla & School children’s families in Siddipet provided with breakfast ingredients in Telangana – April 2020

As covid has no signs of receding, to be equipped with adequate resources is the only way forward. In Sircilla Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust eased the situation by providing not only cooked meals but dry groceries to the poor who were either temporarily or some even permanently out of jobs. Low or no incomes had made their living conditions miserable. These fresh meals brightened their spirits. They were extremely grateful for having their kitchens filled with groceries to last a while.

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has been providing hot fresh morning nutrition to the upper primary government school children at Venkatapur village, Nanganur Mandal, Siddipet. However, the imposed state lock downs resulted in all schools being closed down for almost a year or even more. Yet Annapoorna did not give up on its children. Well anticipating the adverse effects of these lock downs though absolutely necessary, Annapoorna swung into action, knowing full well that parents of these children may not be drawing an income and they may well be on a shortage of groceries in days to come. So large hampers consisting of dry food grains such as rice, lentils, pulses, cooking oil etc. were distributed to these families. The Sarpanch of the village and the SDMC Chairman participated in giving them away.
