Amazon Employee Volunteering Visit to Schools, March 2026
For the academic year 2025–26, this marked the final volunteering session. Overall, it was a successful and meaningful program.
The program began with the serving of Ragi Java to the children. This was followed by an overview of the program shared by Dhananjay Rao with the Amazon team and school staff, highlighting the importance and impact of the Morning Nutrition initiative.
Subsequently, the Amazon team interacted with the students and shared their thoughts, motivating and engaging the children. The session was led from Amazon by Latha M, Gopinath Gantyala, and Akhila Lingaboina.
A key highlight was the keen involvement of the Headmaster, Sri A. Panduranga Reddy, who also serves as the MEO of Kandukur Mandal. He showed great interest in the implementation of the Ragi Java program across his mandal. Notably, during his school visits, he actively monitors the program by maintaining a checklist to track student participation—specifically who is consuming the nutrition and who is not. This level of dedication was especially commendable.

Today, we had the privilege of conducting a morning nutrition session at Gangal Zilla Parishad High School, Village Gangal. It was a truly fulfilling experience that created a meaningful impact on everyone involved.
Activities Conducted:
- Served nutritious meals to the students
- Conducted an awareness session on fire emergency response
- Educated students on road safety while crossing roads
- Engaged children through interactive discussions on nutrition
Key Highlights:
The school staff were highly supportive and welcoming, fostering a positive environment. The Headmaster’s dedication and commitment to instilling values among students and the school community was truly inspiring. Seeing the children actively participate and respond with enthusiasm was the most rewarding part of the session.

“I’m honored to join this team. As a former ZPSS student, I experienced firsthand the lack of access to these types of services. I am grateful to AWS and Annapoorna for launching this initiative, which levels the playing field for government school students and helps them reach their full potential.”
Reflection:
We are proud to be Amazonians, contributing to society through our partnership with the Annapoorna Trust. Such initiatives reinforce the importance of community engagement—not only making a difference today, but also nurturing a safer, healthier, and more aware generation for tomorrow.
