The 10th Anniversary of the formation of the ๐๐ซ๐ข ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐ข ๐๐ง๐ง๐๐ฉ๐จ๐จ๐ซ๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ was celebrated with devotion and gratitude on 14th February 2026 at Sathya Sai Grama, the Trustโs headquarters. The milestone marked a decade of unwavering commitment towards ensuring that no child goes to school hungry.
The event was held in the divine presence of ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฎ ๐๐ซ๐ข ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐๐ง ๐๐๐ข, Chairman & Trustee of the Trust. The Chief Guest for the occasion was ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค ๐๐๐ฐ๐๐ง๐ญ – Chairman of the Malnutrition Eradication Task Force, Government of Maharashtra, and a former Health Minister of Maharashtra

What began in 2012 as a small morning nutrition initiative for a handful of underprivileged children has today grown into a massive national movement serving ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ 1 ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ 1.5 ๐ฅ๐๐ค๐ก ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ฌ.
In his address, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai traced this inspiring journeyโfrom personally arranging simple breakfasts for children of daily wage labourers, to developing a scalable and scientifically designed nutrition intervention in the form of ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ข ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ข๐ฑ.
The evolution of SaiSure was supported by institutions such as:
- National Institute of Nutrition
- Indian Institute of Millets Research
- CFTRI
The National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) report presented during the event further validated the positive nutritional impact created across schools in Karnataka and Telangana.

A key highlight of the anniversary celebration was the emphasis on the โSoil to Schoolโ modelโlinking farmers, nutrition, and childrenโs well-being.
SaiSure is millet-based, aligning with Indiaโs push toward nutritious and sustainable food systems. Farmers associated with the initiative have increasingly shifted toward organic cultivation, ensuring that the nutrition reaching children is both safe and wholesome. The Trust also emphasised the importance of recognising agriculture as a โknowledge economy,โ honouring the wisdom and heritage of farmers.
The vision is clear:
- Strengthen farmer livelihoods.
- Promote organic and sustainable practices.
- Deliver fortified nutrition to children.
- Build a healthier nation.

The celebration acknowledged strong partnerships with multiple state governments including Maharashtra, Assam, Telangana, Karnataka, Goa, Puducherry, Daman & Diu, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu.
Dr. Deepak Sawant, in his keynote address, appreciated the Trustโs humble and disciplined approach and expressed his commitment to expanding the SaiSure nutrition programme across Maharashtra, aiming to make the state malnutrition-free at the earliest.
He particularly noted that Maharashtra had significant potential to benefit from the programme and assured proactive engagement with the government to accelerate its implementation.
As highlighted during the event, true development is not defined merely by economic growth, but by ensuring that every child has access to nutrition, education, and healthcare.

The presentation highlighted the evolution of the morning nutrition programme from a small initiative in 2012 to a nationwide movement serving over 1 crore children daily. The report also detailed key milestones, impact metrics, government collaborations, farmer partnerships, and the roadmap for expanding the mission to reach 2 crore children in the coming years.

- Reach 2 crore children in the next two years.
