The highly anticipated Second Edition of the One World One Family Cup returned on February 8, 2025, for an exhilarating showdown, bringing together cricket legends from India and Sri Lanka for a spectacular display of sportsmanship.

 

More than just a match, this event was a powerful display of unity, hope, and change, bringing together fans, players, and philanthropists to support the noble cause. Cricket has always been more than just a game; it has the power to inspire and uplift communities.

 

A Legacy of Giving Back

 

The year 2024, which was the inaugural edition of the One World One Family Cup, saw cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar gifting cricket kits to young, aspiring players. These kits were more than just sports gear; they symbolized dreams taking flight.

 

However, dreams alone are not enough—children need strength, energy, and good health to turn their aspirations into reality.

 

Malnutrition remains a pressing issue in many parts of the world, and the Morning Nutrition initiative by the Annapoorna Trust plays a vital role in addressing it by providing essential nourishment to children from underprivileged backgrounds

Recognizing this, the One World One Family Cup has aligned itself to spread awareness of Nutrition, Education, and Health as the key domains for the progress of children.

The One World One Family Cup 2025 was an unforgettable experience, packed with high-energy action and legendary performances at the at ‘Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium’ in Sathya Sai Grama Muddenahalli, Chikkaballapur.

 

The One World team was represented by Former Legendary Indian Cricketers- Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Naman Ojha, S Badrinath, Ashoke Dinda, Piyush Chawla, Abhimanyu Mithun, Venkatesh Prasad, Sunil Joshi, Parthiv Patel, Sujith Somasunder, Manoj Tiwary, Stuart Binny, Dodda Ganesh.

The One Family team was represented by Former Legendary Sri Lankan Cricketers – Aravinda de Silva, Marvan Atapattu, Chaminda Vaas, Upul Tharanga, Tharanga Paranavitana, Milinda Siriwardana, Asela Gunaratne, Nuwan Zoysa, Muthiah Muralidaran, Thilan Thushara, Ravindra Pushpakumara, Ajantha Mendis, Romesh Kaluwitharana.

Before the match began, the Annapoorna Trust was featured in an exclusive segment showcasing children who have benefited from the Morning Nutrition Program.
