Annapoorna Trust in partnership with IESA – CSR Symposium 2018 for developing Rural India – 05 Oct 2018

On 05th Oct 2018, Annapoorna Trust conducted a CSR Event jointly with IESA – Indian Electronics and Semi-Conductor Association to bring together Corporates, NGOs and Government on a common platform focused on rural transformation and uplift held at The Capitol Hotel, Bengaluru. The motivation driving this, first of its kind CSR Event, was to form a consortium of like-minded organizations that can collectively channel their CSR efforts to promote holistic development of rural communities.

 

 

Dr Shalini Rajneesh, Chief Secretary, Education in Karnataka State, spoke about Govt of Karnataka’s efforts towards tying up with multiple NGOs. She was appreciative of Annapoorna Trust’s Protein Mix, SaiSure that now adds value to Govt. sponsored Ksheera Bhagya Scheme provided at Govt schools across the state.

 

Ms. Deepika, from Each One Educate One (E1E1) foundation, shared a couple of fantastic accounts of how E1E1 is turning into a people’s movement by supporting 3100+ needy students’ free education in 19 schools of rural landscape.

 

Dr Satish Babu spoke about Divine Mother and Child Health Programme’s phenomenal reach and its progress in rural areas, and how it has been a life saver for a huge number of infants and pregnant mothers. The programme works in ensuring children are born healthy and maintain good health during their infancy.

 

Mr. Sundar Kamath finally spoke about Sanmina CSR project around Chennai. The idea is about developing ideal villages in terms of healthcare, nutrition, education, etc. Annapoorna breakfast programme will be partnering with Sanmina in providing morning nutrition to Government school children.
