Bihar | 13–14 October 2026

Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust expanded its Morning Nutrition Programme in Bihar with launches at two government schools in Munger and Gopalganj districts, initially benefiting 10,000 schoolchildren.

The programme was inaugurated at Middle School Launa in Tarapur Block, Munger District, on 13 October 2026, followed by Middle School Hakaam in Baikunthpur Block, Gopalganj District, on 14 October 2026. These launches mark a further step in extending nutritional support to government schoolchildren through collaboration with education authorities and local stakeholders.

Under the initiative, children will receive SaiSure Millet (Ragi) Multi Nutrient Health Mix with Jaggery three days a week, providing morning nourishment to support their health and well-being.

Extending Nutritional Support in Munger District

Representatives from the Education Department, including DPM Sri Anil Kumar, BRP Sri Aryabhushan, Ms. Priyanka Bharti, Sri Vineet and Sri Tarkeshwar Singh, attended the occasion. Their presence reflected the importance of coordination between educational stakeholders and community organisations in advancing school-based nutrition initiatives.

From Annapoorna Trust, the launch at Middle School Launa was represented by Sri Chandan Kumar, Manager – Operations (Bihar, Jharkhand & Chhattisgarh) & volunteer Sri Dilip Pathak.

Strengthening the Initiative in Gopalganj District

The second launch took place at Middle School Hakaam, Baikunthpur Block, on 14 October 2026. Sri R. N. Singh, BJP District President, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Education Department representatives, including BEO Sri Harikesh Singh and BRP Sri Rohit Singh, participated alongside members of civil society. The children welcomed the nutritional drink enthusiastically, marking an encouraging start to the programme in the district.

Building a Stronger Foundation for Child Well-being

The initiatives in Munger and Gopalganj demonstrate how partnerships among education authorities, community representatives and volunteers can help bring nutritional support directly to schoolchildren.

Since its inception in 2012, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust has expanded its Morning Nutrition Programme across India, working with government bodies, corporate partners and local communities to address children’s nutritional needs.

The addition of these two locations strengthens the programme’s presence in Bihar, enabling more children to receive regular morning nourishment as part of their school routine.
