Karnataka Bank Management Visit to Annapoorna Trust Beneficiary Schools
In a meaningful step towards strengthening its commitment to community welfare and inclusive development, Karnataka Bank management visited schools supported under the nutrition programme of Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust.

Partnership for Child Nutrition
During the 2025–26 period, Karnataka Bank partnered with the Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust to provide SaiSure Fortified Health Mix to 41,087 government school children in the Chikkamagaluru district of Karnataka.
This initiative is part of a larger mission to address classroom hunger and malnutrition, ensuring children receive essential micronutrients to support their health, energy levels, and learning outcomes.

Representing Annapoorna Trust, Rajiv (Manager – Operations, Karnataka) & support staf were present during the visit.
The Trust had the pleasure of hosting Sri Sanjeev Kumar – Assistant General Manager Karnataka Bank, Shivamogga who had long expressed interest in witnessing the initiative firsthand.
Insights from the Visit
During interactions at both schools, Sri Sanjeev Kumar appreciated the consistent quality and taste of SaiSure Ragi Malt and expressed happiness in seeing its positive impact on students.
He engaged warmly with the children, encouraging them to pursue their education with focus, discipline, and determination. Drawing from his personal journey as a government school alumnus and the son of a government teacher, he shared an inspiring message:

Sri Chandrashekhar – Cluster lead at Hosahalli Birur Taluk highlighted how SaiSure is positively impacting children by providing essential micronutrients. GMHPS Pillenahalli
At GMHPS Pillenahalli, Sri Suresh (Headmaster) shared how the programme is playing a crucial role in supporting children’s nutrition and concentration during early school hours.
The school serves children from Lambani and nomadic communities, many of whom come from migrant families working in nearby coffee estates.
What stood out was the extraordinary dedication of the educators:
• The Headmaster personally supports students by purchasing additional food and study materials
• Teachers have arranged transportation facilities for children living far away
• The entire team is committed to ensuring that no child is left behind
Established in the 1950s, the school stands today as a remarkable example of transformation through dedication and collective effort.
