Corporate Social Responsibility in Action: Employee Volunteering by First American (India)
On 12th December, First American (India) along with Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust joined for a meaningful Employee Volunteering Program at GHPS Kothanur, located on Hennur–Bagalur Main Road, Bangalore. The morning began with a warm welcome by the school management, lighting of the lamp, and introductions by the CSRBOX and SSSAT teams, followed by the felicitation of guests.
First American (India) was represented by:
- Steve Adams – SVP, Chief Accounting Officer
- James Kozy – VP, Financial Service Center
- Naveen Muthumanickam – AVP, Corporate Services
along with other senior leaders from the organization.
Distribution of Educational Kits
Dignitaries distributed 28 educational kits prepared by FAI, encouraging them to pursue their studies with enthusiasm.
Leaders’ Address & Student Reflections
During the interactive session:
Steve Adams engaged students by asking how many enjoyed Maths, emphasizing the importance of maths and science in building strong analytical skills—skills that are also essential at First American India.
James Kozy shared his joy in seeing the children in their uniforms, recalling his own school days in Arizona, USA. He encouraged students to cultivate a daily reading habit of at least 20 minutes.
Naveen Muthumanickam inspired students to participate in sports and extracurricular activities while prioritizing academics. He highlighted cleanliness, following traffic rules, respecting teachers and parents, and the benefits of meditation—something he practices daily.
The students, in turn, shared heartfelt messages about the SaiSure Ragi Multi-Nutrient Health Mix served to them every morning. They expressed how they love its taste and how it helps them stay focused and energetic during classes. Many shared that earlier they often arrived hungry and had to wait until the mid-day meal, but SaiSure now keeps them nourished and attentive.
A student beautifully described ragi as “one of the most nutritious traditional grains, rich in calcium, iron, and essential vitamins that build strong bones, improve stamina, and strengthen the body.”
They added that drinking the ragi malt daily helps them feel active, fresh, and healthy—and they expressed deep gratitude to Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust for consistently providing morning nutrition since 2012.
Vote of Thanks & Breakfast Serving
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, followed by FAI volunteers and leaders serving SaiSure health drink and snacks to all students and interacting with them during breakfast.
