He mentioned that Ragi Java is rich in essential proteins and vitamins, while the addition of jaggery provides iron, making it a wholesome and nourishing supplement for growing children. He instructed the District Education Officer and Mandal Education Officer to ensure that every student consumes Ragi Java every day without fail. Appreciating the efforts of the Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai & Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, he welcomed the proposal for establishing a Swasthya Wellness Center for the people of Dharmapuri. He also requested the Annapoorna Trust to continue taking up more initiatives that will benefit both children and the larger community.

Shri K. Ramu, District Education Officer, in his address, shared that most students studying in government schools come from middle-class or economically weaker families. He noted that previously, many children would come to school on an empty stomach, which affected their ability to concentrate in class. Since the introduction of the Ragi Java program, he observed a visible improvement in students’ attentiveness and energy levels. He expressed hope that this valuable program would continue consistently, ensuring that no child has to begin their school day hungry.
