A Nourishing Step Forward in Partnership with Narayana Health

On 31st July 2025, Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust, in collaboration with Narayana Health, successfully launched the Morning Nutrition Program at Kithiganahalli Government School, Bengaluru. This initiative now provides daily cooked breakfast to 1,162 students, ensuring that children begin their school day well-nourished and ready to learn.

This marks the fourth year of a growing and impactful partnership between Narayana Health and Annapoorna Trust, united in the shared mission of supporting the future leaders of our nation through nutrition and holistic development.

The event took place near the Narayana Health Hospital and was graced by the school’s dedicated teachers and staff, along with representatives from Narayana Health and Annapoorna Trust.

We were honoured by the presence of several senior members from Narayana Health, including:

  • Mr. Suraj Singh, General Manager – HR
  • Mr. Jyothish, General Manager – ESG
  • Mr. Raja Singh, General Manager – Marketing
  • Anuj Kumar, Deputy General Manager – Finance
  • Rajesh Sahu, Finance Controller
  • Mr. Mutharaju, Deputy Manager – CSR

Mr. Suraj Singh, General Manager – HR, speaking on behalf of Narayana Health, shared:

“India is the youngest country, and children are the future citizens who will take our nation to greater heights. Hunger halts progress. It is our shared responsibility to ensure proper nutrition for every child’s growth.
When children eat well, they are fit.
When fit, they are healthy.
When healthy, they are happy.
When happy, they are productive.
Today, we are here to reassure our commitment — through school health programs, infrastructure support like washroom construction, and scholarships for aspiring medical students.”

Mr. Sushanth Karanth, National Manager – Corporate Communication at Annapoorna Trust, reflected on the journey:

“Our partnership with Narayana Health began in 2022 at Kengeri, Bengaluru, and has strengthened year after year. We’re delighted to see more schools around Narayana Health facilities being added to this program.

With this initiative, parents can send their children to school without worry, knowing their nutritional needs are taken care of. Together, we’re witnessing increased attendance and notable improvements in the children’s physical and mental development.

This collaboration sets a benchmark for giving back to society in meaningful ways.”

A Joyous Day for Kithiganahalli School

Kithiganahalli Government School is the newest addition to the cooked breakfast initiative. Many children here come from migrant and daily-wage worker families, and a significant number arrive at school without having eaten.

The launch brought joy and excitement to the school.

“The children’s faces lit up with happiness after enjoying the nutritious breakfast.”

Teachers play a pivotal role in a child’s growth, and Annapoorna Trust extends heartfelt gratitude to them for their unwavering support. With daily servings of SaiSure multi-nutrient health mix and regionally customized hot breakfast, this initiative continues to drive meaningful change in the health, learning, and future of students.

Together, we are working towards a healthier, hunger-free India — one child, one meal, one school at a time.
