Covid Pre-emptive Nutritional Intervention Programme for needy children in Bangalore Rural

Annapoorna has come up with an innovative solution of a balanced protein-based health supplement – SaiSure ^TM that can be mixed with milk which is supplied free of cost by Government of Karnataka under Ksheera Bhagya Scheme. This supplement meets the requirements of macronutrients like proteins, carbohydrates, fats, as well as micronutrients like vitamins and minerals for the growing children. 

SaiSure has already been distributed free of cost to children in schools at Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara, Tumkur, Gulbarga, Dharwad districts of Karnataka. Also, Annapoorna Trust has been giving SaiSure to Anganwadi children, primary school children & pregnant women across various other districts in Karnataka & has resulted in improvement in health parameters such as – decline in wasting, stunting, malnutrition and better BMI in children. Local authorities of Vaderahalli village in Yelahanka, Bangalore North, learned about this development & requested for SaiSure to be distributed to their Anganwadi school children. In response to this request, during the first week of July, a swift action was taken to deliver 40 jars of SaiSure were distributed to needy Anganwadi children at Vaderahalli village in Yelahanka.
