Govt. of Andhra Pradesh pilots Nutrition drive with Annapoorna Trust
Annapoorna Trust is very happy to announce the commencement of a pilot nutrition project with the Government of Andhra Pradesh for 45 government schools in Vizianagaram district.
Annapoorna has been providing daily free morning nutrition for 200,000 school going children in 15 States and 2 UT.
In the state of Andhra Pradesh, more than 15000 school children in 225 govt. schools are served morning nutrition since the last 1 year.
The government of Andhra Pradesh has now decided to work on a PILOT project with Annapoorna Trust, by providing RICE and OIL needed for this breakfast programme for 45 schools in the Lakkavarapu Kota mandal in the Vizianagaram district.
Rest of the ingredients required for cooking a sumptuous morning meal will be provided by Annapoorna to these govt. schools.
This type of partnering initiative helps Annapoorna reach many more needy children and thereby helps build our Nation through nutrition.
