Annapoorna Morning Nutrition at Murtizapur taluk in Akola district, Maharashtra in collaboration with Universal Sompo General Insurance Company

From August 2022, Universal Sompo General Insurance Company have joined hands with Sri Sathya Sai Annapoorna Trust in providing morning nutrition to 377 school-going children in 5 govt schools across 4 villages in Murtizapur taluk of Akola district.

 

Annapoorna Morning Nutrition Program started in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra in April 2022. Vidarbha is less economically prosperous when compared to other regions of Maharashtra and has hot humid climate with considerable poverty & malnutrition. On 04 Apr 2022, SaiSure multi nutrient health mix was launched in Murtizapur by Mr. Bacchu Babarao Kadu – state minister of Education. With relevant permissions from Government for 5 districts in Vidarbha region, morning nutrition has started in Akola for 1050 children and 250 children in Amravathi. Very soon, the programme will start in the remaining 3 districts – Buldhana, Yavatmal & Washim as well.
