CSR activity with Oracle volunteers at Thubarahalli Govt. school, Bangalore – 30 November 2019
Volunteers of Annapoorna Trust came together with Oracle CSR team for a CSR activity at Thubarahalli Govt. school in Bangalore. The volunteers interacted with the children for an educational session and distributed goodies which had notebooks and stationery items to 210 children. The children also had snacks to eat and a fun-filled entertaining session of singing etc.
These children may not remember the history or maths lesson they were taught in their school when they grew up, but they will surely remember the day when a group of volunteers came to their school just to spend quality time with them. What a reassurance for the child that it is being cared, it is being loved and being considered important!
Fun-filled Sports Day with Oracle CSR team for Doddabele school children, Bengaluru – 14 December 2019
Oracle CSR team along with Annapoorna Trust volunteers conducted ‘Sports Day’ for the Doddabele school children. Doddabele was the first Breakfast centre of Annapoorna Trust. A variety of outdoor sports – cricket, football, throwball etc were being played with a lot of excitement and healthy competitive spirit. This was followed by sumptuous lunch relished by the children after the physically demanding sports session.
A perfect balance between academics and sports is essential for the holistic development of the children. It is heartening to see the children of Doddabele Govt. School are participating in a variety of sports along with other activities.
