Annapoorna Trust’s Drive for Clean Drinking Water

A recent media report mentions that around 76 million Indian villagers do not have access to clean drinking water. Thus, the road ahead has a lot of distance to cover. After learning that in various villages, water was infested with high fluoride content, inorganic minerals (making the water hard), etc., Annapoorna Trust decided to help the villages with clean drinking water.

Annapoorna Trust, apart from providing nutritious breakfast to 1.2 Lakh school going children, also helps villages with other essential needs such as organizing medical camps and building RO plants providing free clean drinking water. With the 2 new RO plants inauguration on Ugadi Day in Chikka Rayappanahalli and Poosagana Doddi villages in Sidlaghatta Taluk, another 300 families will be getting the benefit of free clean drinking water.

Here’s Wishing you all a very happy Ugadi!

So far, 12 villages have been installed with RO plants to provide each family with 20 Litres of clean safe drinking water daily, thereby helping around 20000 villagers. This is apart from 10 other villages’ schools have been provided with water filters to ensure clean drinking water for the school children.
