Traversing the hilly terrains of Tamil Nadu to find and feed poor and hungry children – 28th February 2018
The cold hilly terrains of the Nilgiris Hills in the State of Tamil Nadu are home to many underprivileged government school children. The hilltop towns of Kinnakorai and Hiriyaseegai have 16 govt. schools with 650 children studying in them. Transportation may have been a challenge but through the winding narrow roads, Annapoorna Trust volunteers made their way to reach these schools. Serving a tasty breakfast to these hungry children brought joy to them as well as the Annapoorna team. No terrain is inaccessible when Annapoorna Trust sets its goal to see “Let No Child Go to School Hungry, Ever.”
